To service and repair the flex plate, start by removing the transmission then the removal of the Flywheel bolts that should be trashed. Next, remove the Flywheel and clean and examine it thoroughly. When installing it, fix the new Flywheel onto the Crankshaft with new Flywheel bolts, noted, for installation. Torque these bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) and use the j 45059 angle meter (J 45059) to turn the Flywheel bolts another 50 degrees before reinstating the transmission at last.
