How to Replace a Power Steering Hose for Optimal Performance on 2004 GMC Savana 3500?

Before beginning the replacement of the power steering gear outlet hose one must install a drain pan under the vehicle then siphon power steering fluid from the reservoir to minimize spillage. First remove the power steering outlet hose from the Power Steering Pump and then extract both the power steering outlet hose from the power steering gear followed by removing the power steering gear outlet hose from the vehicle. Follow the hose route that existed before removal when assembling the equipment and connect the steering gear outlet hose to the power steering gear before torquing the hose fitting to 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.). The Power Steering Pump receives the power steering outlet hose before a power steering system bleed and the drain pan should be removed underneath the vehicle.
