To remove the Muffler, also lift and support the vehicle. Support the exhaust system and remove the Catalytic Converter bolts and the gasket. Then separate the exhaust hanger insulators from Muffler and remove the Muffler from the point of support. In installation, plug the Muffler onto the support, install the exhaust hanger insulators. Then, lock the Catalytic Converter gasket, and install Catalytic Converter bolts, tightening to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs). After that, take away the support of the exhaust system, check for leaks and contact of the underbody and ultimately lower the vehicle.
