How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve in a system on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

Replacement of thermal expansion valve (TXV) replace it, retrieve the refrigerant, detach the evaporator tubes and seal them to avoid contamination. Take out of the evaporator core the TXV with sealing washers. Add new washers, tighten the TXV, re-attach the tubes and run a leak test on a Halogen leak Detector.
