• Q: How to replace the wiper motor on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

  A: In order to replace the wiper motor one will need to have the following tools: Wiper Linkage Separator (J 39232) and Wiper Linkage Installer (J 39529). First, pull off the wiper arms and the air inlet grille panel. Then, remove the three bolts and two nuts of the windshield frame reinforcement as well as the windshield frame reinforcement itself. Rotate the wiper motor crank arm from the side of park position to the contrail side by pulling or pressing the wiper transmission linkage. Make sure to use three screws to secure the wiper drive system module, and tighten them to 8 N.m (71 lb in). Push the harness and grommet through the plenum hole and connect the wiper motor harness connector and place the grommet harness into the plenum hole. Reinstall the windshield frame reinforcement using the three bolts and two nuts, thereby tightening them to 9 N.m (80 lb in), wiper arms, and air inlet grille panel. Lastly, activate the wipers to check their functionality.
