You should move the harness along with grommet through the plenum hole while you remove the three screws which retain the wiper system drive module until you can extract it from the vehicle. To remove the wiper motor from the wiper drive system module users should first separate the drive link from the wiper motor crank arm by using Wiper Linkage Separator (J 39232) and then remove all the screws that secure the wiper motor. Screws should be tightened to 8 N.m (71 lb in) for attaching the wiper motor to the wiper drive system module. Install the drive link onto the wiper motor crank arm by using the Wiper Linkage Installer (J 39529) then guide the wiper module into the upper plenum with the motor nose facing downward before rotating the module to face towards the back of the vehicle. Secure the wiper drive system module using three screws that need a torque setting of 8 N.m (71 lb in). Reconnect the wiper motor harness connector while installing the harness grommet through the plenum hole. The procedure ends with the installation of the windshield frame reinforcement using three bolts and two nuts and torque adjustments to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Next, install the air inlet grille panel and wiper arms. Test the wipers to confirm they work correctly.
