Start the battery negative cable replacement process by disconnecting the battery negative cable. First remove the bolt which keeps the harness anchored to both the shock tower and the front wheelhouse panel. The engine harness bracket must release the harness and you must remove the bolt which attaches the harness to the engine block. Theenginewater harnessgroundterminal andtheinstrumentpanelharnessjoinsthepowertraincontrolmoduleaftercheckingthatthebatteryisnotpoweringthebadgelectrode. Screw the harness into the engine harness bracket after which attach the harness to the shock tower bracket and tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Start by installing the harness block engine bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) and finish by locking the wheelhouse panel harness bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Secure the negative battery cable to the battery last.
