How to replace the steering knuckle on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Replacing the Steering Knuckle requires a vehicle lift along with proper support of the vehicle body. You need to remove first the wheel and tire combination then the front wheel drive shaft bearing. The next step requires disconnecting both the front lower control arm ball stud and the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle. The bolt securing the abs harness bracket to the Steering Knuckle requires removal before marking the strut on the knuckle and unfastening the bolt that connects the strut to the knuckle. To detach the knuckle from the vehicle utilize the universal steering linkage puller (J24319-B). After returning the knuckle to the original position place the connecting bolts for the strut and knuckle while maintaining minimal torque. Connect the front lower control arm ball stud to the knuckle then mount the abs bracket onto the Steering Knuckle until it reaches a torque of 10 nm (7 ft. Lbs.). First install the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle before installing the front wheel drive shaft bearing and finally replacing the tire and wheel assembly. Once you lower the vehicle use measurements to perform front alignment adjustments.
