How to replace the steering knuckle on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

Steering Knuckle replacement starts by lifting the vehicle and securely supporting it before you take off the tire and wheel assembly. Use the j 24319-b universal steering linkage puller to remove the front wheel drive shaft bearing then separate the front lower control arm ball stud and the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle. Detach the bolt which secures the abs harness bracket to the Steering Knuckle and use a marker to make a scribe on the strut before unbolting the strut from the knuckle to remove the knuckle from the vehicle. Position the knuckle onto the vehicle and tighten bolts connecting the strut to the knuckle by hand only. The front lower control arm ball stud needs connecting to the knuckle after which you can add the abs bracket to the Steering Knuckle before torquing the abs bracket bolt to 10 nm (7 ft. Lbs.). The process ends with outer tie rod installation on the Steering Knuckle and front wheel drive shaft bearing reinstallation followed by tire and wheel assembly reinstallation and vehicle lowering before conducting front alignment measurements and adjustments.
