2007 Buick Rendezvous Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the steering knuckle on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?
A: To replace Steering Knuckle, the vehicle will be raised and held up in an appropriate way and tire and wheel assembly removed. Next, using the universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B), remove the front wheel drive shaft bearing; remove the front lower arm ball stud and outer tie rod on the Steering Knuckle. Remove the bolt that secures the abs harness bracket to the Steering Knuckle, take the note of strutting from the knuckle, remove the bolts that attached the strut to the knuckle to remove the knuckle off the vehicle. For installation, line up the knuckle back to the vehicle and install the bolts securing the strut to the knuckle. Use hand-tightening only. Join the front lower control arm ball stud to the knuckle with bolting this into the Steering Knuckle, screw in the abs bracket to the Steering Knuckle and tighten the bolt to 10 n.m (7 lb ft). Replace the outer tie rod onto the Steering Knuckle, then the front wheel drive shaft bearing, then the tire and wheel assembly. Lastly, bring the vehicle down and adjust the front alignment with measurement.
