Start by detaching the positive Battery Cable at the battery and afterward remove the electrical center cover by pressing its tabs. The installation process starts by removing the nut from the battery positive cable connections to the underhood fuse block. During this step you must relocate the protective generator output bat terminal boot for better access. Finally turn off the generator output bat terminal nut to disconnect the positive battery lead. Lower the vehicle next while you take off the Starter terminal nut and detach the battery positive cable from the Starter component. Placing the battery positive cable properly on the engine should be followed by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Secure the Starter terminal nut to 13 n.m (115 lb in) while you mount the battery positive lead between the Starter. Install the generator bat terminal nut while tightening it to 13 n.m (115 lb in). Securely install the protective boot to the generator output bat terminal while lowering the vehicle and connect the battery positive cable to the underhood fuse block by tightening the nut to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Add the electrical center cover onto the battery setup and tighten the battery positive cable to the battery using a torque of 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Put back the transmission before connecting the negative Battery Cable.
