How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on 2005 Cadillac DeVille?

You can start replacing the rear compartment lid lock cylinder by opening the rear door then taking out its trims. Detach the back up lamp then disconnect the latch release cable from the lid lock cylinder. Unclip and pull out the lid lock cylinder holder before taking out the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Align the lid lock cylinder properly into the rear compartment lid then snap on the retainer clip. Plug the latch release cable back into the lid lock cylinder then mount the back up lamp and return all back parts before shutting the rear compartment lid.
