Begin by sustaining and elevating the vehicle and detaching the tire and wheel before proceeding with Sway Bar Link replacement in the rear suspension. A hex tool should be used to support the Sway Bar Link stud throughout Sway Bar Link retaining nut removal to protect the link seal. The Sway Bar Link needs to be disconnected from its attachments on both the sway bar and the lower Control Arm. The Sway Bar Link installation starts with connecting it to the lower Control Arm before attaching it to the sway bar. When installing the Sway Bar Link retaining nuts apply a hex tool to the Sway Bar Link stud to protect the link seal before tightening them to 90 nm (67 ft. Lbs.). Complete the installation by replacing the tire along with its wheel and then lower the vehicle.
