How to replace the front center console on 2005 Cadillac STS?

In order to remove the front floor console, initially the upper console trim and shifter bezel should be removed. Tilt the driver and passenger front seats to get to retaining bolts then remove the bolts and disconnect the 4 console electrical connectors from the instrument panel harness before removing the console. For installation, connect the 4 console electrical connectors with harness to the instrument panel, place the center console to the mounting brackets and again adjust the front seats to access retaining bolts. Mount the retaining bolts and tighten them with 9 N.m (80 lb in). Finally, install the upper console trim and the shifter bezel.
