How to replace the right lash adjuster on 2005 Cadillac STS?

When replacing the right Lash Adjuster begin by removing the right valve rocker arms while maintaining camshaft follower positions against their initial stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) positions. Move on to cleaning and examining the lash adjusters after removing the shla from right cylinder head bores. The first step before a replacement should be to position the Crankshaft at its top dead center mark of the number one cylinder. Add gm p/n 12378006 oil or equivalent to the shla while avoiding contact between oil and the pivot sphere on the device. Place gm p/n 12378006 engine oil or equivalent into the shla bores before inserting the part into its cavity. Next reinstall the right valve rocker arms.
