  A: You need to begin by taking off the left valve rocker arms while using a method to keep each camshaft follower both correctly matched with its original stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) and maintained at its initial placement. Clean the lash adjusters while inspecting them before installing the shla into the left cylinder head bores. Maintain the first cylinder Crankshaft at top dead center (TDC) while filling the shla with engine oil (GM P/N 12378006 or equivalent) through the oil inlet port despite making efforts to prevent damage to the shla pivot sphere surface area. Lubricate each shla bore of the cylinder head with clean engine oil (GM P/N 12378006 or equivalent) then insert the shla into the bores and finish by reinstalling the left valve rocker arms.
