How to replace the oil pan on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Before replacing the Oil Pan, install the engine support fixture and drain the engine oil off. Then take off the front frame and pull the electrical connector from the engine oil level sensor before taking the sensor from the Oil Pan. Go ahead and doff the Oil Pan bolt without forgetting that Oil Pan oil gasket if free to recycle unless it is ruined, so you do not dethatch it out from the Oil Pan groove, unless necessary. Clean and inspect after taking off the Oil Pan. If a new Oil Pan seal is needed, clean off the remaining oil from the groove of the seal and insert the seal into seal groove moving it in both ways. Place the Oil Pan on the crankcase and install the Oil Pan bolt, tighten them in the given sequence to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Mount the engine oil level sensor into the Oil Pan and tighten it at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) and then connect the electric connector to the sensor. Refit the front frame, replace oil into the engine, and dismantle the engine support fixture. Lastly, check oil leaks once the engine has started.
