How to replace the starter motor on 2005 Cadillac STS?

The Starter motor replacement process starts by disconnecting the battery negative cable before removing the Intake Manifold. Start by disconnecting both the positive Battery Cable from the Starter and the s terminal wire from the Starter. Start by removing Starter motor bolts and then extract the Starter motor. During assembly start with installing the Starter motor followed by tightening its bolts to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Secure the wire and nut to the Starter's s terminal and apply 4 n.m torque force (35 lb in) when tightening the nut. Fasten the battery positive cable with its nut at the Starter terminal and tighten the nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After installing the Intake Manifold you can reconnect the battery negative cable.
