    Q:
How to replace the starter motor on the LY7 - Gas, 6 Cylinder, 3.6L, SFI, V6 on Cadillac SRX? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Starter motor of the ly7 - gas, 6 cylinder, 3.6l, sfi, v6 vehicle starts with disabling the ignition and removing the battery negative cable. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector of the Starter solenoid from the unit while also removing the Starter terminal nut then disconnecting the battery positive cable. Separately remove the Starter motor bolts before pulling out the Starter motor. Starer motor installation requires you to start with the motor first followed by adherence to the fastener notice guidelines. Affix the Starter motor bolts and apply torque to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Secure the battery positive cable to the Starter by using the Starter terminal nut while tightening this nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The electrical connector needs to be attached to the Starter solenoid as the final installation step.
