  A: The repair process for a Starter motor begins with removing the negative Battery Cable at its first step. Proceed by taking off the Intake Manifold and cutting the bat cable from the Starter then disconnecting the wire from the "s" terminal of the Starter. Start by removing the 2 bolts that secure the Starter motor before pulling out the Starter unit. During installation the Starter "s" terminal wire requires connection followed by torquing the Starter solenoid s terminal nut to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Start by connecting the Starter bat terminal wire and apply 10 n.m (89 lb in) of torque to the Battery Cable Starter terminal nut. Secure the Starter motor by mounting bolts which require tightening at 30 n.m (22 lb. Ft). Bring back the Intake Manifold while securing the battery negative cable.
