When you want to disconnect and connect the negative Battery Cable, you need first to turn off all lamps and accessories to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage by having the ignition key in the off or lock position and all electrical loads off. Take off the rear seat cushion and then disconnect the negative cable from the battery. For installation, connect the negative term of the battery to the car battery and make sure that you remove the oxidation at the contact surface of the Battery Cable and battery terminal with the help of a wire brush before and after installation. Torque the bolt to 17 n.m (13 lb ft) and reattach the rear seat cushion. The radio will have its electronic memory that will be used to store clock and pre selected radio stations without the need to reprogram.
