To replace the Starter motor (LY7) (3.6L), the first step should be that you turn the ignition to off and then remove the battery negative cable. Next one will pull the Starter solenoid electrical connector out of the Starter, with the Starter terminal nut from the Starter, as well as the battery positive cable from the Starter. Then, you would remove the Starter motor bolts and remove the Starter motor. Starting, attach the Starter motor, observing fastener caution codes. Mount the Starter motor bolts and tighten them to 50 nm (37lb ft). Reconnect the battery positive cable to the Starter and tighten the Starter terminal nut with a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). Lastly, the electrical connector should be connected to the Starter solenoid.
