Access the generator output bat terminal by moving the protective boot off position then disconnect the positive battery lead from the generator. Lower the vehicle first by removing its lower bolts to extract the generator from the engine while also removing its upper bolt. The installation process involves setting the generator at its engine location before tightening the upper bolt. Start by supporting the vehicle and install the generator's lower bolts while torquing them to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Tighten the battery positive lead to 10 nm force while connecting it to the generator bat terminal nut. Mount the bat terminal boot after tightening the nut.
