Begin the generator replacement by taking off the negative Battery Cable. You must remove the Drive Belt which connects to the generator. Raise the vehicle and disconnect its electrical connector from the generator using proper methods. First access the generator output bat terminal by relocating its protective boot followed by remover of generator output bat terminal nut and disconnection of the battery positive lead from the generator. Begin by removing the generator lower bolts followed by lowering the vehicle to easily access the generator upper bolt so you can extract the generator from its engine position. Begin installation by mounting the generator on the engine then securing it with the generator upper bolt. Life the vehicle while maintaining support and secure the generator lower bolts to a torque of 50 nm (37 lb ft). Use torque wrench on generator bat terminal nut to secure it at 13 nm (115 lb in). Following this, install the protective boot on the bat terminal. You should attach the electrical connector to the generator after lowering the vehicle and then install a Drive Belt across the generator. The final step involves reconnecting the battery negative wire.

Connect the electrical connector to the generator.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.

Disconnect the battery negative cable and remove the generator drive belt.

Remove the drive belt from the generator.

Remove the generator output BAT terminal nut and disconnect the battery positive lead.

Tighten the nut to 13 N.m (115 lb in).

Lower the vehicle and then install the upper generator bolts, tightening them in sequence to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Reconnect the battery positive lead and the generator BAT terminal nut, tightening the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in), and install the BAT terminal boot.

Disconnect the battery negative cable and remove the generator drive belt.

Connect the electrical connector to the generator, lower the vehicle, and install the drive belt to the generator.
