  A: Start by disconnecting the battery negative cable followed by removing the generator Drive Belt. After disconnection of the upper generator mounting bolts (1, 3) you should raise and support the vehicle. Cut the mast of the front air deflector while using scissors to free the wiring harness attachment tie strap from the generator. To gain access to the connector and the generator output bat terminal nut remove the lower generator mounting bolt before lifting the generator from its bracket. First disconnect the wire harness electrical connector from the generator before relocating the protective boot from the generator output battery terminal for access and finally removing the generator output battery terminal nut to separate the positive battery lead from the generator. New generator installation begins by placing it in the original vehicle position before connecting the battery positive lead followed by tightening the generator output battery terminal nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Add the protective boot to the generator output bat terminal before connecting the wiring harness connector to the generator output.
