When replacing the generator you should start by disconnecting the battery negative cable and then removing the Drive Belt from the generator. The vehicle needs to be raised and supported while technicians disconnect the electrical connector from the generator. Move the protective boot back from the generator output bat terminal before removing the generator output bat terminal nut to disconnect the battery positive lead. Lower the vehicle employing the generator lower bolts and then remove the upper generator bolt before extracting the generator from the engine. Release the generator onto its engine-mounting location then securely install the generator upper mounting bolt. After raising and securing the vehicle perform generator lower bolt installation while keeping torque at 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Install and tighten the generator bat terminal nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in) while also installing the bat terminal boot. Connect both ends of the electrical connector to the generator then lower the vehicle before installing the generator's Drive Belt and reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.

A procedure for replacing the generator (LLT) (3.6L) begins by removing the battery negative cable. Extract the Drive Belt which operates the generator. Lift and support the vehicle before disconnecting the electrical connector which controls the generator. The generator output bat terminal nut must be removed first for access while you remove the battery positive lead from the generator. Start by unscrewing lower generator bolts then lower the car while you detach the generator upper bolt to extract the generator unit from the engine. Begin generator installation by placing the device onto the engine and afterward securing the generator upper bolt. Set the vehicle back onto its supports and fasten the generator lower mounting bolts to 50 nm torque (37 lb ft torque value). Position the bat terminal boot on the generator while tightening the battery positive lead and the generator bat terminal nut to 13 nm (115 lb in). Begin by connecting the electrical connector to the generator and then conducting the vehicle drop. Next, attach the Drive Belt to the generator. The last step involves connecting the generator's negative Battery Cable.

Remove the generator lower bolts, lower the vehicle, and then remove the generator upper bolt.

Connect the electrical connector to the generator, lower the vehicle, install the drive belt to the generator, and finally reconnect the battery negative cable.

The right and left side stabilizer shaft links to the lower control arm, the right side wheelhouse liner, front wheels, and front air deflector.

Lower the vehicle, install the generator drive belt, and reconnect the battery negative cable.

Place the generator back onto the engine and install the generator upper bolt.

Disconnect the wire harness electrical connector, reposition the protective boot, and remove the generator output battery terminal nut.

Reconnect the battery negative cable after completing all previous steps.

Remove the generator output BAT terminal nut.

Connect the electrical connector to the generator, lower the vehicle, install the drive belt to the generator, and finally reconnect the battery negative cable.
