Support the vehicle after lifting it to proceed with disconnection of both the electrical connector from the generator. After moving the bat terminal protective boot aside you need to unscrew the generator output bat terminal nut and then disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator. Start by removing generator lower bolts and decreasing the vehicle height before taking out the generator from the engine through upper bolt removel. Install the generator onto the engine by first attaching the upper bolt. Following vehicle support return to raise position install the generator lower bolts while tightening them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). The installation process begins with closing the battery positive lead to the generator bat terminal through the application of a 13 n.m (115 lb in) torque. Then position the bat terminal boot into place before tightening the nut. Start by connecting the electrical connector to the generator then lower the vehicle before installing the generator belt and lastly reconnecting the battery negative cable.
