How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2005 Cadillac XLR?

First, raise and support the vehicle in order to replace the engine oil pressure sensor or switch. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch, then take the switch off the oil filter adapter using a Snap-on S 6152 Oil Pressure Sender Switch Crowfoot Wrench (1 1/16") or similar. Next, you will install a new O-ring onto the oil pressure switch, snugging the switch down to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) using the very same Snap-on S 6152 Oil Pressure Sender Switch Crowfoot Wrench (1 1/16") or similar. Reconnect the electrical connector back to the engine pressure switch, drop out the vehicle, set the engine oil to the fullest mark and check out for oil dripping after cranking the engine.
