    The first step in replacing an engine oil pressure sensor or switch is to elevate the vehicle and use supports. Use an oil pressure sender switch wrench measuring 1 1/16" to disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch before eliminating the switch from its adapter position. Add a new O-ring to your oil pressure switch before installation but maintain all necessary tightening cautions. Secure the engine oil pressure switch at the oil filter adapter using an oil pressure sender switch wrench (1 1/16") or equivalent while tightening it to 16 Nm (12 lb ft). Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch afterward lower the vehicle and check for leaks before filling the oil to the full mark while starting the engine.

Check and replace the oil filter adapter. Also, make sure it is clean. After that, put a new O-ring over the oil pressure switch, making a sure you adhere to the Component Fastener Tightening Notice, and then screw the oil pressure switch to the oil filter adapter, tighting it to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.). Finally, replace the oil filter adapter.

Use a Snap-On S 6152 Oil Pressure Sender Switch Crowfoot Wrench (1 1/16") or equivalent to mount the engine oil pressure switch to the oil filter adapter while applying 16 N.m (12 lb ft) of torque. After installing the new O-ring on the switch, connect the electrical wiring, lower the vehicle, set the oil level at full capacity then inspect for leaks upon engine engine start.
