  A: Start the front door switch replacement by trimming the door panel and turn off the ignition switch. Remove the retainer screws located at the back of the upper trim panel followed by taking off the upper trim from the door. Proceed by unlinking the inner energy absorber from the door panel and the removal of four retaining screws from behind the armrest combined with one retaining screw at the armrest assembly forward end. You need to first disconnect the wire harness from the armrest then pull out the assembly from its place. Handle the front door switch assembly with care while extracting it from the pocket of the door trim panel while using duct tape for protection of the panel's finish then disconnect the wire harness from the front door switch. The installation involves connecting the switch components to the armrest switch plate applique followed by wire harness assembly before putting the switch assembly back into its pocket on the door trim panel when all protective tape is removed. Connect the Door Armrest wire harness and mount the armrest to door trim panel by threading four screws at the rear and one at the forward end before tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install the inner energy absorber and upper trim at the back of the door trim panel along with their retaining screws which require tightening up to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
