  A: The replacement of front door power lock switch begins with setting the Ignition Switch to off position. Proceed by first removing the door trim panel and next remove the retainer screws from behind the upper trim panel before taking off the upper trim from the door. Start by taking out the inner energy absorber from the door panel and then detach the four retaining screws from behind the armrest followed by the single screw at the front end of the assembly. The armrest wire harness needs disconnecting so that the armrest assembly can be removed but do not let the door switch plate applique get damaged through the use of duct tape for protection. Pull out the front door switch assembly from its hiding place inside the door trim panel section before disconnecting the wire harnesses. The front door switch must be attached to the armrest switch plate applique where it should be properly engaged for proper installation. Complete the connection of wire harness to the front door switch assembly before returning it into its pocket within the door trim panel. Remove any protective tape after completing the operation. Install the Door Armrest to the door trim panel by tightening four rear screws and one forward screw to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the inner energy absorber alongside the upper trim panel and retainers at the back of the panel by using 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque before installing the door trim panel.
