How to replace the rear door check link on 2005 Chevrolet Classic?

Start by removing the rear door water deflector as the first step in replacing the door check. After that, remove the bolt from the door check. A small flat-bladed tool can be used to disassemble the rear door door check grommet before removing both door check nuts from the rear door along with the door check. The door check must be placed in the rear door before installing rear door door check nuts to a torque of 10 N.m (89 lb in). Start the installation process by setting the rear door door check grommet in position followed by tightening the door check bolt that belongs to the front door to 9 N.m (80 lb in). To finish the installation process you should place the rear door water deflector back in its place.
