The first step to replace the rear door hinge requires users to open the front door before they use a grease pencil to mark the positions of the rear door hinge on both the center pillar and rear door. First remove the rear door hinge nuts and bolts before taking off the rear door hinge from the rear door. The new rear door hinge should be placed into position using marks found on both the center pillar and rear door. Follow the installation steps by fastening the rear door hinge bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft) torque and then securing the rear door hinge nuts to the same torque setting of 28 N.m (21 lb ft). End by erasing all markings from both the center pillar and rear door until the front door is tightly shut.
