How to replace the front door check link on Chevrolet Classic?

Start the front door check replacement by removing both the front door water deflector and front door system locking module. Starting the process requires removing the front door check bolt and using a small flat-bladed tool to extract the front door check grommet. Begin by removing the front door check nuts before extracting the front door check out of its position. During installation orient the check arm by having R displayed facing upwards when installing on the right-hand side followed by placing L on the left-hand side. Fasten the front door check to the doorway followed by front door check nut installation while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Put in place first the front door check grommet followed by the front door check bolt and set both pieces to 9 N.m (80 lb in). The end of maintenance includes putting back the front door system locking module and front door water deflector.
