How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?

You must first remove the air cleaner resonator to change the Throttle Body assembly. Pull the idle air control (IAC) valve harness connector off , pull the throttle position (TP) sensor harness connector off , and remove the vacuum hoses from the Throttle Body. Before taking it off, remove the Throttle Body attaching bolts for taking the Throttle Body. Inspect Throttle Body Gasket and change it if required before placing Throttle Body onto Intake Manifold. Secure the Throttle Body with its attaching bolts and torque to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Then reconnect the vacuum hoses back to the Throttle Body, the tp sensor harness connector and at last the iac valve harness connector. Lastly, re-install the air cleaner resonator and check the accelerator movement by pressing and releasing the pedal down.
