How to replace the wiper arm on 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?

You can replace the Wiper Arm when you switch the ignition on and set the wiper switch to delay. Turn the ignition off after the wiper arms get to their bottom position. Free the Wiper Arm assembly by removing its nut and nut cover. The Wiper Arm removal tool (J 39637) disconnects the Wiper Arm from its stud on the wiper pivot. Position each Wiper Arm onto its correct position on the wiper transmission and fit the Wiper Blade into the lower dots on the windshield blackout. Install the nut on the Wiper Arm and fasten it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft), before reattaching the Wiper Arm nut cover. Press the wipers to test if they work as intended.
