How to replace the wiper arm on 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt?

Start by turning the key to on position and setting delay mode then turn the key to off when the wiper arms sit at the bottom of cycle. Take off both the nut cover and nut of the Wiper Arm. Lift off the Wiper Arm from the wiper pivot shaft using tool j 39637. Place the wiper arms onto the transmission shaft so they match the alignment dots underneath the windshield blackout part. Fit the Wiper Arm nut on the wiper shaft while keeping the wiper blades matched to the windshield blackout dot positions and tighten to 25 n.m torque (18 lb-ft). After installing the Wiper Arm nut cover inspect the windshield wiper functionality using appropriate windshield movements.
