How to Correct Brake Disc Assembled Lateral Runout (LRO) Using Correction Plates on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?

The first step to fix Brake Disc lro needs to verify Brake Disc thickness variation because excessive thickness deviation causes brake pulsation. Begin by placing the high spot of the Brake Disc toward the top and unscrew both conical washers (J45101-100) and lug nuts that you used during the lro test. Look for any foreign material inside the axle hub and Brake Disc. Apply the proper correction plate to blocked lro space according to the asset measurement and avoid reusing old plates or placing multiple plates in the same area. Position the correction plate on top of the hub/axle flange with the v-shaped notch pointed toward the high spot mark. Position the Brake Disc according to its matchmark marks before fastening it using one Brake Disc washer and one lug nut at the top wheel stud. Secure the Brake Disc by hand while adding rest of the washers (J45101-100) and lug nuts in a star-pattern. Complete the lug nut tightening by using the torque-limiting socket set j39544-kit to follow star-pattern specifications before checking the assembled lro. Repeat the adjustment process when the lro result passes maximum specified tolerance. When installation works within tolerance you should secure the disc with the brake caliper then depress the brake pedal several times before unthreading the Brake Disc washers and lug nuts.
