How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to change the rear compartment lid latch, open the rear compartment, and take off the center carpet panel. Unplug electrical harness, indicate the position of latch. Take out the latch and the bolts. Install the new latch, the manual release cable, reconnect the harness and the carpet panel.
