To replace the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve, you should remove the engine cover, then disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe and the purge valve electrical connector. Then take off the purge valve mounting nuts and the engine wiring harness bracket from the mounting stud, then purge valve from the Intake Manifold. For its installation, you need to first mount the purge valve on the Intake Manifold, and then you reinstall the engine wiring harness bracket onto the mounting stud and fix the purge valve with mounting nuts tightened by 12 n.m (106 lb in). Following that, reconnect the purge valve electrical connector as well as the evap purge pipe and finally, reinstalling the engine cover.
