How to replace the A/C Switch control assembly on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

Begin hvac control assembly replacement by uninstalling the instrument panel trim plate bezel then removing retaining screws from the HVAC Control Module. Remove the instrument panel's HVAC Control Module then disconnect all electrically connected components. Before installing the new HVAC Control Module use an off-key position to perform calibration checks. Then connect the electrical connectors according to the procedure. Screw the HVAC Control Module into position in the instrument panel while applying torque at 1.8 n.m (16 lb in) then complete installation by securing the retaining screws. After reinstalling the instrument panel trim plate bezel, start the engine for one minute while ensuring all HVAC Control Module controls remain untouched for proper hvac performance.
