How to replace the LH Blend Door Actuator on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

To remove the left air temperature actuator, the following steps will be completed; first, the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator and the knee bolster bracket are removed. Before removing the actuator it is essential to disconnect the electrical connector from the left air temperature actuator and remove the mounting screws. For installation locate the new left air temperature actuator and slot the flats on the shaft into the slots in the electric actuator driver and tap the locating hole to align with the alignment pin of the HVAC module case. Raise the actuator and slide it onto the shaft then the actuator driver should seat entirely then the mounting holes would be flush against the mounting screws on the HVAC module case. Mount the screws and tighten to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) and reconnect the electrical connector. The neck bolster bracket and the left I/P insulator should be reinstalled, and then, the actuator needs to be calibrated.
