    Q:
How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on the right side on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the right-side air temperature actuator replacement process by removing two components: the right side instrument panel (I/P) insulator followed by the I/P compartment. First remove all screws securing the air temperature actuator before disconnecting its electrical connector. Take out the actuator from its assembly position within the HVAC system. During installation use the air temperature actuator and locate its slots on the electric actuator driver to match the shaft flats while also setting the locating hole to align with the HVAC module case alignment pin. Position and slide the actuator driver along the shaft so both the driver and the HVAC module case mounting holes reach perfect alignment. Install screws to the air temperature actuator while tightening them to achieve 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) torque before reconnecting the electrical connector. Put the I/P compartment back into position followed by installation of the right side I/P insulator. Finally, calibrate the actuator.
