How to replace the engine flywheel on 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

A technician must take out the automatic transaxle before starting Flywheel engine replacement. Secure the Flywheel using the Flywheel holder instrument (J 37096) to stop its motion. Start by loosening all six engine Flywheel bolts before completely unfastening five bolts except the one directly above the Crankshaft rotation position. Handle the Flywheel properly when removing the last retaining bolt to prevent it from falling off. The procedure demands that you remove the engine Flywheel retainer followed by the Flywheel after cleaning threads and holes for all the bolts. Reposition the Flywheel along with the retainer and then apply the Flywheel bolts but continue to use the Flywheel holder (J 37096) to stop any wheel rotation. The automatic transaxle requires reinstallation after tightening both bolts to 71 nm (52 ft. Lbs.).
