The fuel tank filler pipe replacement process starts with unfastening both the fuel fill cap and housing for the fuel fill pipe. Before continuing begin by unscrewing the fuel fill pipe bracket nuts followed by securely raising the vehicle. Detach the fuel tank recirculation hose from the fuel tank before releasing the fuel pipe clamp which allows you to separate the pipe from the tank. The fuel fill hose must be capped before removing the fuel fill pipe ground strap bolt along with the push-pin retainer to free the fuel fill pipe from the vehicle frame. First install the fuel fill pipe on the vehicle frame by locking down its push-pin retainer and then tightening the fuel fill pipe ground strap bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Secure the fuel fill hose and fasten the fuel tank pipe while tightening the clamp to 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). After connecting the fuel filler pipe recirculation hose to the fuel tank you need to lower the vehicle while reinstalling the fuel fill pipe bracket nuts by tightening them to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The procedure ends with the installation of the fuel fill pipe housing together with the fuel fill cap.
