The procedure involves detaching the fuel hose from the fuel fill pipe then applying a cap at the open fuel hose end. To install the fuel fill pipe begin by opening its cover then put it into place. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) when connecting it to the fuel fill pipe. Secure the vehicle by raising it and install the ground strap bolt into the fuel fill pipe while applying 10 n.m force (89 lb in torque). Significantly lower the vehicle before tightening the two fuel fill pipe bracket nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). You should install both the fuel fill pipe housing and the fuel fill cap as a final step.

Position the fuel fill pipe back onto the vehicle frame and secure it with the push-pin retainer, followed by the fuel fill pipe ground strap bolt, tightening it to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
