    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Your first step should be the uninstallation of the fuel sender assembly before sensor replacement can proceed. Begin by using your finger to push down the retainer of the fuel level sensor pigtail electrical connector until you can disconnect the connector from the module cover. You should remove the fuel level sensor pigtail wires from behind the retainer on the bucket while carefully remembering the fuel level sensor float orientation before removing it. Lower the fuel level sensor down from the bucket and extract it. Due to installation the new fuel level sensor requires placement on the bucket followed by upward insertion until it reaches full engagement with the retainer on the bucket. Position first the fuel level sensor pigtail wires to occupy space behind the retainer on the bucket before connecting the fuel level sensor pigtail electrical connector to the module cover while ensuring proper engagement of the retainer . To complete the procedure you must install the fuel sender assembly.

    Q:
How to replace the Fuel Level Sensor in the fuel sender assembly on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Fuel Level Sensor assembly starts with Fuel Tank removal where use of only the j 45722 (Fuel Tank Sending Unit Wrench) protects the lock ring from damage. Handle the Fuel Level Sensor assembly meticulously while keeping a safe distance from fuel pipes to secure the joints. Avoid using power tools since intense force is required to free the lock ring therefore secure the Fuel Tank to stop rotation. Take the unlock the Fuel Level Sensor lock ring counterclockwise using j 45722 and a long breaker-bar before removing Fuel Level Sensor assembly along with seal which gets discarded. Eliminate the fuel in the sensor assembly through a suitable container while reducing fire hazards and prepare both sealing areas for cleaning. Check the lock ring for damage; reusing the ring is possible when no damage is found but you should replace it if the warpage surpasses 0.41 mm (0.016 in.) position the new seal properly on the Fuel Tank and insure that the strainer lies horizontally to avoid float arm obstruction while fitting it. Install the Fuel Level Sensor assembly inside the tank by placing the seal along with the lock ring if required while maintaining the seal groove without lubrication. Fit the lock ring with the proper orientation which allows only clockwise rotation and fasten it with the j 45722 tool. Finally, reinstall the Fuel Tank.
