How to replace the rear door lock cylinder on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?

The Door Lock Cylinder replacement starts by opening the liftgate followed by trims and lock cylinder nuts from the liftgate. Secondly remove the liftgate handle molding then uninstall the lock cylinder retaining nuts. First disconnect the electrical connector together with the lock rod from the cylinder before taking out the lock cylinder from the liftgate. After placing the lock cylinder inside the liftgate you need to install the retaining nuts before tightening each one to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Insert the lock rod to the key cylinder and join the electrical connector whenever applicable. Reinstall the liftgate handle molding first after connecting the lock rod to the latch and close the liftgate while putting the trim panel in its proper position.
