How to replace the water pump on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?

Before handling the Water Pump you must empty the cooling system down to where the pump sits. First you take off the Drive Belt guard then you rotate the Water Pump Pulley bolts to loosen them and get rid of the Drive Belt. Afterward you can detach the Water Pump Pulley and secure the bolts with a wrench to take out both the pump and its gasket. Prepare both Water Pump surfaces by cleaning them before putting on the new gasket and Water Pump unit. After securing Water Pump bolts at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.), put on Water Pump Pulley and fasten the Drive Belt loosely. Tighten Water Pump Pulley bolts to 25 nm and check Drive Belt guard. Refill the cooling system and test the area for fluid leaks.
