2005 Chevrolet Venture Radiator Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the radiator hose inlet on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?
A: The replacement process for the radiator inlet hose begins with draining the cooling system followed by left side diagonal brace removal. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to decrease clamp pressure until the locking mechanism cuts in for hose removal. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) allows release of tension from the hose clamp attached to the radiator to disconnect the radiator inlet hose. The hose clamp pliers (J 38185) helps users release the hose clamp tension on the Thermostat Housing to detach the radiator inlet hose from the housing. Remove the radiator inlet hose. The installation process starts with attaching the new radiator inlet hose to the radiator followed by hose connection. Apply a small flat bladed screwdriver to release the hose clamp retention mechanism before securing the hose with a hose clamp retention lock at the radiator. To mount the radiator inlet hose on the Thermostat Housing secure its clamp retention lock using the hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Reposition the left side diagonal brace while filling the coolant into the system.
